Tamana Yari Ansari is a Farsi/Dari television host with Afghan-American media and a successful Master of Ceremonies (MC) in the San Francisco-Bay Area. She is confident, eloquent and charming on the stage and off. Her charm and personality earned her fame and popularity within the media circles as well as public at large. She has been selected to co-host the “Pari Tawoos show which was broadcasts by Payam Afghan television globally. She was a nominee for Rumi Media Award, 2014 and Best TV Show Host-Female and earned the appreciation award. Also, the many cultural organizations, celebrities and official entities such as Afghan Consulate in Las Angels “Dr Younos Show” awarded Tamana certificate of Appreciation for her hard work and dedication for promoting literary and cultural activities, “AfghanAmerican Cultural Center” awarded her for Outstanding Performance in San Diego yearly Event, “IFocus production” awarded her for Outstanding Entertainment host and Best Articulations and “The Children of War” organization for certificate of Appreciation and She has also been invited by international groups in which she hosted the event in English language successfully. Tamana is bi-lingual. She knows the intricacies of both American and Afghan and Farsi speaking people. This talent makes her shine on the stage when she switches from Farsi to English and vice versa. Tamana’s goal and objective is to promote and empower the Afghan community in diaspora. She works hard for women rights and gender equality within the Afghan community as well as youth success and achievements. For this, she joined the Afghan Women’s Health organization now known as United Afghan Women Association. She is also; co-founder of “Northern California Afghan Community voice” to promote Afghan culture and way of life and to introduce it to other ethnic groups. She was invited to join the “Immigrant Integration and Empowerment” organization as the Advisory member to educate and guide the new comers in the United States. Tamana is always thinking for her fellow Afghans back home and strive for help and charity to support destitute children in Afghanistan. She joined for successful campaign to help Afghanistan COVID19 pandemic with other organizations. Tamana also is a founding member of the Afghanistan Relief Alliance (ARA ) for any emergency help in result of any disaster. Tamana also worked in a financial entity and dealt with sensitive clients and accounts for many years and has a great business ethic. Currently, she is an active business associate for a commercial Real Estate (Liberty Business Advisors) where she also deals with sensitive financial information and clients. She is utilizing her skills and experiences and follows the instructions to help clients optimize their success and achieve their business goals. At the same time she runs two successful TV shows named, Fanous which changed Fanous on the Road and Ashiqana previously known as Harf e khosh an Ahang e khosh. Tamana earned a degree on Liberal and Science and completed courses on Mass Communication Journalism. She works on to edit her first book, Afghan Women Achievers which is going to be published in the form of a coffee table booksoon. She is residing in the Bay Area of San Francisco. Shafi Sekandari pursued higher and professional education in journalism at Kabul University in Afghanistan, later continuing his studies at Ohlone College in Fremont, CA and San Francisco State University in the United States. With 15 years of experience, Shafi has made significant contributions to Afghan stage, radio, television, and print media both in Afghanistan and the U.S. He attributes much of his success to his mentor, Farida Anwari, a renowned Afghan orator whose guidance in public speaking, poetry and voice recitation, political reporting, and artistic performance profoundly shaped his career. Shafi Sekandari’s distinguished experiences include writing for Sabawon magazine, the publication of the Union of Journalists in Afghanistan, and Karwan newspaper in the United States. He has also prepared and produced programs for notable radio stations, such as Naqsh-e-Javadan, Radio Fanous, Radio Voice of Afghanistan, among other professional journalistic experiences. In television, Shafi has built a remarkable career working with prominent networks, including Afghanistan Broadcasting Corporation, Lemar TV, Ariana Afghanistan TV, and Payam Afghan World Network. Currently, he hosts the successful programs Fanous and Khosh Harf wa Khosh Song, which continue to resonate with audiences. Shafi Sekandari is recognized as a reliable and influential Afghan journalist, dedicated to preserving and promoting Afghan media abroad while maintaining strong connections to his roots.
